How to tighten a loose Lever Panerai (TUTORIAL)
Remove the lever and enlarge its hole (where the pin was) with a dremel and a drill tip that diameter. Remove the pin from the insulant (you may sacrifice the insulant if this is . Step one: Fire up the glue gun. Step two: Detach crown guard from your pam and safely store the screws away. Step three: Put the crownguard bottom up on a piece of soft . Remove the lever and enlarge its hole (where the pin was) with a dremel and a drill tip that diameter. Remove the pin from the insulant (you may sacrifice the insulant if this is tricky). Cut a piece of insulant as long as the lever's thickness.
Step one: Fire up the glue gun. Step two: Detach crown guard from your pam and safely store the screws away. Step three: Put the crownguard bottom up on a piece of soft wood. Use the pin removal tool or small drill to dislodge the pin from the crown guard. Be careful not to loose it once you pushed it out. The result should look like this. You have a correct crown. It could be caused by a shorten lever itself at the roller end. Replacing the crown guard unit is the best solution to your problem. Is the guard itself slightly loose from the case? You could check the two screws that hold it down for tightness. The other thought is that the seal the crown compresses is worn or damaged? Depending on the CG lever "loseness", I'd either brush the tiny amount of CG feet to slightly lower the whole CG assembly CG to the case, or add another o-ring rubber seal inside the crown to raise it (the crown) closer to the lever tip.

Hi guys firstly I would like to say I just received my first rep last week, over the week when I pull the lever to get it winded. It suddenly became so. The lever is an interference fit to the top of the crown. So if the screws are just a bit loose on the guard: it will cause it to feel loose. Looking at your photo: the lower portion of the guard looks gapped to the case: thats the screws being loose.The adjustments consist of several delicate operations of the greatest importance, including centring and levelling the balance spring, accurately setting up the escapement, putting the balance wheel in beat and adjusting the lever. The gasket is compressed with the crown guard lever ensuring water tightness. As long as your gasket lubricant is there it will allow for winding albeit difficultly. As soon as the gasket lubricant is compromised you will start destroying the gasket necessitating replacement.
