I’d argue that 372 is even more Panerai-er than 422 due to the 6152/1 connection However,probably 422 is the first 47mm luminor in marina configuration that’s missing the 9 on the dial.look . The strap doesn't taper and is wide throughout. The newer 372 with the sapphire crystal comes on a 27/22 strap which tapers. This isn't a big issue from a functional standpoint as you can put any 26mm strap on the 372. The buckle though on the 26/26 strap models is large.
