For the trio of 140th-anniversary watches, Breitling has rolled out the new in-house, chronometer-certified B19 automatic movement. The Super Chronomat Perpetual Calendar displays this movement through a rear sapphire crystal.
The anniversary edition in solid 18k red gold retains the Premier’s distinctive Arabic numerals, contrasting minutes scale and signature square pushers. The strap is black alligator leather with elegant tone-on-tone topstitching and an 18k gold folding buckle. See the watch.
Inside of the Breitling Chronomat Australian Edition beats the heart of the Breitling Calibre B01 Chronograph movement. This is an in-house developed and manufactured calibre with a 70 hour power reserve, 47 jewels and a 4hz beat rate / 28,800 VpH and like all Breitling movements, COSC certified. For the occasion of the 140th anniversary and this special trio of watches, the back reveals a solid-gold rotor decorated with an engraving of Breitling’s historic Montbrillant Manufactory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Breitling Chronomat B01 is available in 42mm and 44mm cases, with the latter also referred to as the Super Chronomat B01. The larger version uses ceramic for the bezel, pushers, and crown and comes on a rubber Rouleaux strap instead of a bracelet.
