Retail Design for GUCCI. THE BRIEF. This project is to design a retail project for GUCCI at The Garden, Ground floor, Mid Valley City, Lingkaran Syed Putra, 59200 Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. THE CLIENT. Gucci is an Italian luxury brand of fashion and leather goods. Gucci was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence, Tuscany, in 1921. Occupying a purpose-built four-storey structure on Namiki dori, one of the area’s most prominent thoroughfares, it rubs shoulders with the flagship stores of peers from fashion’s upper echelon, such as Versace, Loewe, Omega, Louis Vuitton and Pomellato. The ground floor of the renewed Gucci flagship store presents leather goods centred around the brand’s signature line of handbags. The protagonists of this space are the new Jackie Notte bag from the Gucci Ancora collection and the Gucci Signoria slingback, backlit by the white alabaster wall. Gucci, the world-renowned luxury fashion brand, is not only known for its stylish clothing and accessories but also for its stunning retail stores. The interiors of Gucci stores are designed to create a luxurious and sophisticated shopping experience for customers.
RDC served as architect of record for Gucci’s store at the popular Americana at Brand shopping district. Architecture services included adapting the exterior of the existing high-profile space to the Gucci specifications and brand standards, working on deadline for opening date.
