There is a way you can tell. I cannot remember the exact code, but if you look on the tag, the "made for outlet" product has a specific number or code on it. Maybe on of the other TPFs may know. Another tell tale sign is the quality. Retail bags will have smooth zips, shiny gold plated hardware and the leather quality is top notch. I can't help but notice that there are a lot of their bags now in places like Nordstrom Rack and the Bloomingdales and Saks outlet stores and some folks have seen them at Marshalls/TJ Maxx.
